Hohner Funeral Home Traditional Services

A Traditional Funeral is one which allows family and friends to say good bye with the body of their loved one present. There is usually a visitation either the night before or a couple of hours prior to a service or mass. There are no rules on where the visitation and funeral take place, many people use a church, the funeral home itself, and sometimes even their own home. At the end of the service, the body is traditionally laid to rest in a cemetery. This type of service provides a great deal of closure for friends and family, provides a time for mourning, and for friends and relatives to offer love and support through the healing process.

Hohner Funeral Home Memorial Celebrations

A Memorial Service is similar to the traditional service in that it provides time for family and friends to gather together to share memories and healing moments of laughter and tears. In a memorial service, cremation has taken place, and an urn or memorial photo is often used to represent the deceased. Because there is no body present, a memorial service can be held anywhere that is appropriate such as a chapel, the shore of a lake or river at sunset, a favorite golf course or park to your own back yard. We will help you in organizing, planning, and bringing the perfect amount of meaning and detail to the service or celebration.
